Quintessential Small Town Charm.  That’s what comes to mind every time I think of my home on Mobile Bay, Alabama. Located on the Gulf Coast, Baldwin County is home to spectacular sunsets, friendly smiles, and kindly southern accents that remind you that life runs at a different pace here.  

Growing up an Army Brat, I have lived all over the United States and parts of Europe, from towns as small as 800 people (Castlewood, SD) to metropolitan cities of several million (Stuttgart, Germany), so to say that I’ve run the gambit on different living experiences is putting it lightly.  While each location in which I have resided has had something wonderful to offer, I have found that Fairhope, at least for me and my family, has been the best of both worlds. 

With a population of about 23,000, Fairhope has everything one might desire in regards to amenities- without the annoyance of rush hour traffic, break-ins, and nosy neighbors stacked right on top of you. This is a place where you can grab a scoop of ice-cream from Mr. Gene’s Beans in downtown and then take a short walk to the Community Pier to watch the sun set on another glorious week.
